Advantages

Rehabilitation even with severe paresis

The first results are after 5 procedures, including difficult cases

Active involvement of the patient regardless of the degree of impairment

Individual selection of rehabilitation equipment

Principle of the complex operation

  • Passive non-invasive recording of brain or muscle activity with use of electrodes
  • Data transmitting to the electroencephalograph
  • Data receiving with use of electroencephalograph, data filtration. Generation and transmitting a command to the robotic orthesis module
  • Receiving the command, setting the required angle of the orthesis module movement
  • Passive/passive-active training with control of the procedure duration, the accuracy and uniformity of repetitive movements
The principle of operation of the complex

Complex techniques

Complex combines following techniques:

  • The technique of motor imagery of movement with the implementation of passive training of the rehabilitated limb in response to the patient's volitional intention – control with the patient's own thought effort, converting the patient's thought into the passive movement of the robotic orthesis module. This rehabilitation technique is based on the ability of the cerebral cortex to reorganize neural networks due to neuroplasticity
  • Passive-active training technique in response to partially preserved muscle activity of the patient. In this case, the robotic orthesis module acts as an assistant for the patient, helping him to perform a movement that the patient himself does not have enough effort to perform
  • The robotic mechanotherapy technique with use of robotic modules for sequential passive training on the instructions of a medical worker who controls the complex

The implementation of these techniques is possible in a virtual environment with use of 3D virtual reality glasses

The opportunity for the patient to act as a source of commands increases the patient's involvement in the rehabilitation process and increases the effectiveness of training
